You Wanted Singles, Now Lets Play!
In Singles League, it’s you vs. everyone, every week. You’ll rotate matchups, face new opponents, and throw under official WATL rules, so every bullseye, clutch, and drop counts toward your individual ranking. Don’t worry if you’re new—coaching and camaraderie are always part of the league. Bring your own axe or borrow one of ours (we won’t judge… much). Expect friendly trash talk, big laughs, and that one person who swears the board is crooked every week. Whether you’re chasing the leaderboard or just here for the vibes and the smell of fresh cut wood, this is where sharp skills meet sharper personalities
Friendly is the name of the game, but how competitive you get is up to you (though we will have a ref on call to keep things…honestish just in case your inner lumberjack gets a little too enthusiastic). We’re a WATL facility, but since this is our maiden voyage into league territory, we’re leaning towards a “BYOBAP” (Bring Your Own Beer and Pizza) kind of situation.
After countless hours of intense research (mostly involving throwing axes), we’ve finally nailed down the perfect league setup.
-
Atmosphere is casual social; no going full gladiator.
- You may bring your own WATL approved axe/hatchet. We will have house hatches available, but each week that lucky one you used could now be in someone else’s loving hand. Treat yourself to a professional hatchet—whether you play another league or not, you’ll still have a pro-level axe to call your own.
- Spectator(s) allowed, but please keep it to 1 to 2 people. It’s nice you want to bring your whole family, but remember this is your alone time.
- Existing Guidelines still apply. Questions about the league, please throw email (get it) to leagues@splinters-hatchetaxethrowing.com.
